FAT MAMA

Fat Mama is located in one of the smallest, but historically more significant streets of downtown Budapest, in the middle of the Jewish Quarter. The history of the district dates back to the 19th century and by the turn of the century it had become one of the most densely populated parts of the city. The neighbourhood is steeped in ethnicity and countless cultures, so it's no surprise that the culinary traits of different nations meet in the restaurant and influence its appearance and atmosphere.

Our menu is based on Hungarian traditions and spiced up with custom. Middle-Eastern cuisine, French bistro and American BBQ giants enrich our menu. The restaurant has been open since 2015 and is still growing and expanding.

Direct contact with our guests has always been our first priority and has become a passion in recent years, so we welcome returning visitors from almost all over the world. This has allowed us to assess the preferences of our guests and to develop them to the highest level.

The evenings are filled with live music every day of the week, in order to create a unified and joyful atmosphere. On weekends, the atmosphere is raised to a higher level with the energetic and improvisational style of Zoltán Bulyáki, a Hungarian folklore dancer known far and wide.

A heated terrace in winter, light painting in summer and a giant swing for the children's enjoyment are waiting for you. And we leave it to the reader to discover the intense flavours and special drinks.

We hope to see you soon!
